While these are still initial reports, it seems that there is some issue at ConfirmTX transaction accelerator service as users are complaining that while the service continues to accept payments, it has stopped processing acceleration requests.
Transaction accelerators have popped up everywhere with some becoming popular more than others. Their increased proliferation has been made possible due to bitcoin network congestion as well as high fees and wait times. Though there are many services, very few are actually worth trusting.
ConfirmTX is one of those services that accepted hefty fee to get stuck bitcoin transactions accelerated and got them through. However, it turns out that this service has stopped processing acceleration requests despite still accepting payments.
Some of its users are complaining that none of their transactions are being accelerated for days on end and none of their support tickets are being answered either. While the number of users who are affected is very low, chances are that this could be a sign of another service going tits -up.
Nothing can be said for certain as to what will unfold over the course of next few days or weeks, but we sincerely hope that ConfirmTX doesn’t wrap up its operations without delivering on its word and the payments it has accepted.
The bitcoin mempool has been an issue lately with lot many stuck transactions and miners giving preference to high fee transactions. While the current backlog of transactions isn’t unmanageable, it is unclear what the future will hold for Bitcoin and its transaction accelerators.
No one knows what next week will bring, though. ConfirmTX will have some explaining to do when it comes to their lack of customer service.
